A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about the release date of a very anticipated character known as Cloud Retainer. During their journey through the world of Teyvat, Travelers have come across many legendary characters, from Archons to the Adepti.

While some of these characters have already joined the playable roster, others like Dainsleif, Madame Ping, or Cloud Retainer have yet to receive a playable version. Over the last couple of months, many credible Genshin Impact leakers have been hinting that some of these characters might be featured on a banner much sooner than expected.

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more details about the potential release date of Cloud Retainer. According to the leak, Cloud Retainer could be released during version 4.4 which is still many months away. At the moment, she is known as an NPC who appeared in multiple Archon, Story, and World Quests. This release date makes sense since this Adeptus is heavily tied to the Liyue region and update 4.4 will most likely host the Lantern Rite Festival which is always held in the Geo nation. Adepti are known as powerful individuals who serve the Geo Archon Morax who is also known as the Prime Adepti.



A previous Genshin Impact video named Echoes of the Heart has revealed Cloud Retainer's human form which will probably be used if she ends up becoming a playable character. Fans hope that the character's kit will allow him to swap between his human and bird form which would be a unique mechanic in Genshin Impact. She would not be the first Adeptus to join the playable roster as both Zhongli and Ganyu belong to this group.

Even though Zhongli is known as the Geo Archon, he also goes by the name Prime of the Adepti. Going by HoYoverse's usual update, fans can expect version 4.4 to drop around mid-January.
